What is a gold pip worth?
On gold (XAUUSD), 1 pip is a $0.10 move in price, for example 3975.48 to 3975.58. One standard lot (100 oz) gains or loses $10 per pip. At 0.10 lot that is $1 per pip, and at 0.01 lot it is $0.10.

How much is 1 pip on XAUUSD?
With the common $0.10 pip convention, 1 pip on gold is worth $10 per standard lot (100 oz), $1 on 0.1 lots and $0.10 on 0.01 lots. Some brokers call a $0.01 move a pip, so check your broker’s convention.
How much is 1 pip worth on EURUSD?
For a standard lot of 100,000 units, one pip (0.0001) is worth $10 with a USD account: $1 on 0.1 lots and $0.10 on 0.01 lots.
Why are JPY pairs different?
Yen pairs are quoted to two decimal places, so a pip is 0.01 instead of 0.0001. The calculator converts the yen value into your account currency.
What is the difference between a pip and a point?
Most platforms show an extra decimal. On most pairs, 1 pip = 10 points, so a 50-point move in MT5 is 5 pips.
Is a gold pip the same at every broker?
Not always. Some brokers quote $0.01 as a pip or a point. Check your broker contract specification before you size a trade.
How do I turn a stop-loss into pips?
Subtract your entry price from your stop-loss price, then divide by 0.10. A stop 8.00 away is 80 pips.
